Without a doubt, the Reading Buddies program is making a difference in the lives of our students! We have shared the success of this program with districts across the state, the Tennessee Department of Education, and even through a Tennessee School Boards Association podcast. Given the academic and social benefit that comes from developing a positive relationship with a child and helping him or her learn to read, Reading Buddies is amazingly affordable. However, there are still expenses that must be covered to help sustain the program, such as books for participating students, Reading Parties, and other program support costs.
